Terry Fowler, in District 9, and RA Johnson make key run offs

On June 23rd, voters will go back to the polls again.

Considering that four candidates were vying for the District 9 Horry County Council seat, retired patrol officer Terry Fowler, had an outstanding day Tuesday. Fowler will face local realtor Mark Causey in a run off for that seat on June 23rd.

Fowler has lived in district 9 his entire life. He spent a career serving Horry County as a county patrol officer.

This morning, Fowler sent a message out thanking all who voted. He asked them to turn out again on June 23rd. District 9 includes Loris, Longs, up to Barefoot Resort in North Myrtle Beach.

In the auditor’s race, popular Assistant County Treasurer R.A. Johnson performed as expected. Johnson was challenged in a three way race for one county seat.

Johnson will face Beth Calhoun in a June 23rd run off.
