The inaugural Tin Bowl, scheduled for tomorrow night, will feature a match-up between Socastee High School and Carolina Forest.
The event aims to provide aid to individuals affected by the flooding caused by Hurricane Helene in Greenwood, S.C. and residents of Western North Carolina.
The Tin Bowl game is Socastee High’s home coming game as well.
Joshua Vinson holds the position of athletic director at Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Said Vinson, “I am originally from North Carolina. I’ve got friends that have been affected by it [Hurricane Helene], so anything we can do to help is appreciated.”

Added Vinson, “What we are going to do is have a friendly competition between Socastee and Carolina Forest to determine who can bring the most in disposible food tins. Hopefully, we will have a great competition on the field as well at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow night.“

The Tin Bowl will be played at Socastee High School, 4900 Socastee Blvd, Myrtle Beach, SC 29588 Friday night at 7:30 p.m.
The staff at Carolina Forest and Socastee as that you bring as many disposable tins as you can. The needs are great.

The Tin Bowl will help those most in need. As of publication, Fox News reports now 207 listed as deceased from the rapid flooding and landslides caused by Hurricane Helene.
The death toll from Hurricane Helene is expected to rise significantly as power, rescue efforts continue, and communications are restored.
