WHAT:	On Tuesday, September 30^th, Trader Joe’s will open a new store in Surfside Beach, South Carolina. The new store is located at 115 Sayebrook Parkway in the Sayebrook Plaza, where Route 544 and 17 Bypass intersect. This 9,429 sq. ft. store will be the first Trader Joe’s in the area. Moments before doors open at 9 am, there will be a brief ribbon-cutting. Store Captain MaryJoy Marino and Crew Members will be on hand to welcome customers to their new neighborhood store. As a neighborhood grocery store, the company prides itself on hiring from our local community. The store hired fifty new Crew Members from surrounding areas and transferred in others from other Trader Joe’s stores.In addition, through the company’s longstanding Neighborhood Shares Program, the new Myrtle Beach grocer will donate 100% of products that go unsold but remain fit to enjoy to a range of non-profit, community-based organizations, seven days a week.
