Saturday, June 13, 2024 will forever be a defining day in American history.
Former President Donald Trump showed grace and courage under fire during an attempt on his life by Thomas Matthew Crooks. Crooks, 20, was a resident of Bethel Park, PA.
Crooks was killed instantly by the U.S. Secret Service after he pulled the trigger on a bullet meant to fatally end the life of the current leading candidate for President.
With the agility and instincts of an aging athlete, former President Trump fell to his knees and was quickly surrounded by secret service detail.
The defining moment came afterwards. This moment was just as instinctual. Trump raised and pumped his fist asking all Americans to fight for the freedoms and the liberty that have defined our country since the middle 1770s.
The courage of this much beleaguered man defines the hope that courses through every American’s veins today.
Trump is an inspirational public figure of what it means to get up, dust off the dirt, and move forward into the fire.
