If anyone in S.C. knows the law, it’s S.C. House Representative Russell Fry. He is a lawyer who writes the laws for the state.

Our news team was surprised today to learn that Fry is placing campaign signs on Highway S.C. 31. We counted 4 signs between Highway 501 and just up to the Bob Grissom Parkway exit on this busy expressway. The signs are considered a traffic hazard on this expressway and are illegal.

It is against the county law to put campaign signs on this expressway. Of all the candidates running for U.S. Congress 7th District, only Fry’s signs can be found.

All other candidates obeyed the law on the books.

NOT THE FIRST TIME CHEATING

On May 2nd, we reported Fry cheating at a Socastee Heritage Festival. The festival clearly states the event will be held annually without politics.

There is a saying among thieves. “If you aren’t cheating, you aren’t trying.” We covered the below here: https://myrtlebeachsc.com/cheating-chamber-candidates-get-caught/

Fry was asked to stop campaigning by event officials.

However, sending a candidate that ignores the laws on the books in S.C. to write the laws in Washington that we all must live under is concerning.

CONTROVERSIAL FROM THE GO

Fry’s endorsement by Trump was controversial from day one. Grassroots conservatives consider him a Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce RINO.

Fry is in the heat of a campaign fray with a leading opponent.

The website Fryslies.com is one campaign strategy Fry is battling currently.

While the intent of the site is to get the record out on Russell Fry, MyrtleBeachSC News does not approve of the mocking graphics used in the campaign.

Fry’s lifetime record has a 58% conservative voting score and his efforts to work around state law are concerning enough without the mocking photos.

The fact that Fry will work for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce agenda is the largest concern among Horry County voters.

Fry is not a resident focused candidate and will work to legislate the very agenda he is currently campaigning against.
