As President Elect Donald Trump wins a historic victory locally, Ride IV passed on the very same ballot.
Donald Trump wins despite being mischaracterized, falsely tried, shot at, held hostage by the bureaucratic state, and called a Nazi, Fascist, and evil. His supporters, which make up 51% of the popular vote, were called garbage by a soon, former President Joe Biden.
Donald Trump wins the most remarkable comeback in the history of the United States.
By winning the popular vote nationally, Trump wins a mandate that allows Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, Tulsi Gabbard, Robert Kennedy Jr, among others to gut the bureaucratic state.
The crosshairs are now aimed at the long-serving officials of the DOJ, FBI, Homeland Security, IRS, CDC, State, Federal, and local administrations, who have been beneficiaries of privileges for a considerable duration.
The censorship state is in free fall. Legacy media is all but dead.

RIDE IV WINS!
The $6.5 billion Ride IV road infrastructure improvement referendum was also approved on the same conservative ballot.
As Trump wins and Ride IV passes, the voters have spoken.
Reaching out to us by email, Chairman of the RIDE IV Sales Tax Advisory Committee, Wayne Gray stated, “Having served on the RIDE III and RIDE IV sales tax advisory committees and understanding our road needs and challenges, I am grateful of the passage of RIDE IV and look forward to these many projects commencing and coming to completion that will continue to make Horry Count a great place to live, work, raise a family and visit.”
Before the voters went to the polls, Wayne Gray, the Chairman of the RIDE IV Sales Tax Advisory Committee, publicly announced this statement.
CARPE MOMENTUM
“SEIZE THE MOMENT”
In the mid-1990’s following a period of a rapid growth, Horry County was suffering from overcrowded highways and roads leading to traffic congestion that was challenging our locals, daily work travel, and delaying the time for our visitors to get here and back resulting in their last thought of the area as they traveled home: “HOW MUCH TIME HAVE I SPENT ON HIGHWAY’S 501, 378, 701, 9 AND THE LIKE”. The message of frustration from our local and visitors was loud and clear; “BUILD MORE ROADS”. In simple terms, the overburdened roads were damaging both our quality of life and our economic prosperity.
In historic fashion, our entire county rallied as a unified effort seizing the moment to respond to the road crisis. County Council and all the municipalities formed a committee now referred to as RIDE I which ultimately recommended a new revenue source, yes, a new tax to fund new road projects.
Known as the Hospitality Fee and matched with state and federal grants, RIDE I constructed a total of 19 projects, 2 of which were projects of regional significance such as Highway 22 (Veterans Highway) and Highway 31 (Carolina Bays Parkway). This led to the RIDE II and RIDE III road funding efforts funded by a 1% sales tax each over an 8-year period primarily constructing over $2 Billion of local-farm to market road improvements.
Now, in a similar critical moment, we have a pivotal vote on the November 5th ballot for the next sales tax for funding of roads known as RIDE IV. With a recent change in state law, Horry County can now consider a longer term of the 1% sales tax: UP TO 25 YEARS.
Still requiring approval by a referendum of the voters, the longer term will be transformative due to the revenue providing the opportunity to fund both needed local projects and projects of regional significance such as a new river crossing over the Waccamaw River, the extension of US Highway 22 to the southern portion of the county and the interstate-style connector from US Highway 22 to I-95.
The project list consists of vital transportation improvements and enhancements that will reduce our local driving times, improve safety, lead to expansion and diversification of our economy and provide better evacuation access when necessary. Revenue estimates for 25 years are more than $5 Billion, and one should believe with that type of revenue, our state and federal lawmakers will be able to find matching dollars to support Horry County’s continued investment into its local and regional road infrastructure. It’s also important to know this is not a new tax but a continuation of the existing tax since 2006 of which 66% of the collections are paid by tourists.
While 25 years may seem to be bold, we are at a similar moment to the mid-1990’s of gridlock which threatens our quality of life and economic diversity and prosperity. CARPE MOMENTUNM, let’s “SEIZE THE MOMENT”, resulting in another Latin proverb to define our community, AUDENTES FORTUNA LUVAT or “FORTUNE FAVORS THE BOLD.”
