Myrtle Beach police responded to shootings at the Happy Holiday Motel on 507 N. Ocean Blvd around 3:10 a.m. last night.

Myrtle Beach police’s Cpl. Thomas Vest stated that Ocean Boulevard had to be completely closed for two hours.  Traffic was re-routed to Highway 17.

UPDATE: As of 9 a.m. Saturday, Myrtle Beach police are reporting a 3rd victim was shot last night. The first two victims were treated and released from the hospital.

Downtown Myrtle Beach experienced violence every week since the beaches were re-opened on May 15, 2020.

The June 5th through 7th weekend was calm. However, a tourist couple reported a mob of 12 men assaulting them coming off the beach just days later.
