military, honor, veterans, novemberOn Tuesday, November 11, the public is invited to attend Myrtle Beach’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony at 11 a.m. on the plaza of the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. The event recognizes and pays homage to veterans and is co-sponsored by the Grand Strand Patriotic Alliance and the City of Myrtle Beach.  Parking at the convention center is free for this event.

If you are a veteran and want to learn more about veteran’s resources in the community, attend the Fall 2014 Veterans Awareness Series (VAS) on November 10, at Chapin Memorial Library from 1 to 3 p.m.  Bernard McLeroy, peer support specialist from the Myrtle Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Clinic, and library staff members will be available in the library meeting room.

Veterans may sign-up for a library card and receive a free one-year membership to Friends of Chapin Memorial Library.  Learn about the library’s “America’s White Table” tribute and book display to honor Veterans Day Refreshments will be served.  RSVPs are appreciated.  For more, call Kim at 843-918-1295 or e-mail her at [email protected].
