Darren Roberts, aged 30, is a Virginia State Police Trooper who has been released on bond following charges of kidnapping, first-degree domestic violence, and first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
According to Virginia State Police Division Four HQ, Roberts was placed on unpaid administrative leave following his arrest.

Myrtle Beach Police responded Monday to the Caribbean Resort & Villas at 3000 North Ocean Boulevard for an assault. Caribbean Resort & Villas is managed by Brittain Resort Hotels.
Arrest warrants state that during a hotel room dispute, the victim alleged that Roberts physically and sexually assaulted her, as per investigators’ information.
The arrest warrant also states the victim was held down against her will and strangled during the assault.
The victim’s body exhibited numerous injuries, as observed by the Myrtle Beach police officers.
Virginia State Police Patrol placed Roberts on unpaid administrative leave pending a criminal investigation after being informed of his custody by Myrtle Beach Police.
On Wednesday, after posting a $20,000 bond, he was released from the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
