Clemson University will hold a full board meeting at 2 p.m. today to likely fire 2 professors and an employee who made hideous comments celebrating Kirk’s assassination.
One individual has already faced suspension. Calls for the termination of the professors have been made by Lt. Governor Pamela Evette, U.S. Congressman Ralph Norman, Senator Lindsay Graham, Attorney General Alan Wilson, The SC Freedom Caucus, The S.C. Republican Caucus, Candidate for SC Attorney General David Pascoe, and most SC legislators.
After the killing of Charlie Kirk this week, teachers nationwide are being fired or facing possible punishment for supposedly expressing views on social media related to the assassination.
The insensitive posts about Kirk’s death have led to consequences for numerous faculty and staff members, ranging from school board officials to classroom teachers. In two cases, universities have terminated staff members for posting content considered inappropriate.
Numerous educators face suspension or investigation, a tally that is expected to rise due to sharing of screenshots by conservative online influencers.
