Morning Joe, a television show that has been airing on MSNBC since April 9, 2006, serves as a prime example of the decline of legacy media. With an average monthly audience measurement for the period ending July 31, 2024, Morning Joe attracts 952,000 viewers per episode, reflecting a 0.3% rating and a 6% decrease compared to the previous month.
The show is a favorite of 81 year old Joe Biden. Younger audiences tune it out.
Social Media Platforms are where younger voters live
Facebook is the top platform among these, but younger Americans are not as engaged on this platform. Instead, younger audiences can be found on Youtube, Instagram, TikTok, and X.
YouTube has approximately 2.51 billion viewers on a monthly basis, securing its position as the second most popular platform.
In July 2024, YouTube emerged as the top streaming platform, accounting for 10.4% of TV viewing, surpassing all other platforms. Youtube is owned by Google and is highly censored leaning left.
58% of X users are now under the age of 35.
Podcasts are gaining popularity among younger generations as well. The listenership of podcasts in the United States is expanding, with nearly 50% of Americans aged 12 and above now tuning in to podcasts at least once a month.
Some well-liked podcasts among Generation Z are: Six Minutes, Gen Z Hoops (featuring a rotating cast of young professionals as hosts), and Speaking of Gen Z. Most of these podcasts are available for streaming on the Spotify app.
TEENS LIKE SOCIAL GAMING
Within the next 10 years, teenagers will exercise their voting rights. As per the findings of a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center, a significant 85% of American teenagers engage in playing video games, out of which 72% do so to socialize. Furthermore, an impressive 98% of teens who consider themselves gamers play alongside others, with 68% having formed online friendships.
This audience is unlikely to ever tune in to legacy media.

The Democrat Party in the USA and communists in other countries heavily rely on legacy media and state-owned media to manipulate and govern the population.
American Democratic leaders label the content on these platforms as disinformation and misinformation, but those assertions are largely false.
Nevertheless, American Democrats, along with France, Brazil, China, Russia, and even England, are actively striving to shut down these widely utilized platforms.
