A medical emergency led to the sudden death of NMB Fire Division Chief Charles Full. Below is a statement from Fire Chief Billy Floyd.

NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — A Message from Fire Chief Billy Floyd:

“It is with a broken heart and heavy sorrow that I announce the sudden passing of Division Chief Charles Full early Thursday afternoon, June 13, following a medical emergency at his home.

Division Chief Full started with our Department in February 2007 as a Firefighter/EMT. In November 2008, he was promoted to Fire Lieutenant and served in that role until his promotion to Division Chief of Fire Training in July of 2021.

Prior to working for our Department, Lt Full served as a Deputy District Fire Warden for the New Jersey Forest Fire Service.

Division Chief Full is survived by his wife Amy and their two children.

We want to extend our sincere gratitude to Horry County Fire Rescue, Horry County Police, Conway Fire Rescue, Horry County 911, and the Horry County Coroner’s Office for all their assistance and support throughout today.

We greatly appreciate the outpouring of love and support we are already receiving from the numerous Fire Chiefs who have offered any assistance they can provide.

We will provide further information regarding services once they are finalized.

We did not just lose a member of our Department today, we lost a friend and brother to us all.

We ask you continue to keep the Full family and our North Myrtle Beach Fire family in your prayers.”
