Uber Eats, Door Dash drivers robbed in Myrtle Beach

According to Myrtle Beach police, Uber Eats Door Dash food delivery drivers were robbed in separate incidents.

City of Myrtle Beach crime certainly hit a new all time low.

The robberies were committed by a man and a woman from North Carolina.

Myrtle Beach police responded to reports of armed robberies about 1:35 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2024, and 9:33 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2024, in the area of Spivey Park.

There were no injuries reported.

Police were able to identify the two people who allegedly robbed the delivery drivers by using technology in their Real-Time Crime Center.

From the post, it’s not clear what type of weapon was used in the robbery, or what delivery service the drivers worked for.

There are two counts of armed robbery, two counts of possessing a weapon during a violent crime, first-degree assault, fugitive from justice, possession of a stolen vehicle, shoplifting less than $2,000, and resisting arrest/false name against Cameron Reid Baker, 22, of Winston-Salem.

In Winston-Salem, Jazmyn Elaine Corvin, 25, has been charged with armed robbery and shoplifting less than $2,000

On June 28, 2024, Baker and Corvin were booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.

Calls into Uber Eats Door Dash concerning this matter were not returned.
