The Horry County Republican Women’s Club celebrated 5 years in operation this past week.

The organization is among the most influential groups in the state. The Club leads the state in growth and participation. It is the envy of most every political group in the Carolinas.

U.S. Congressman Russell Fry congratulated their group on their ongoing success.

Other officials also praised the group for ensuring that conservative values remain at the forefront of all things political Horry County.

Dignitaries that highlighted the group included: S.C. Senator Greg Hembree, Sheriff Phillip Thompson – Horry County, S.C. Representative Val Guest, Horry School Board Chairman David Cox, Horry School Board Member Pam Dawson, SC. Representative Stewart Jones, and 15th Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson.

Gerri McDaniel, Dreama Perdue, Eadie Morriss, Linda Knight, President, Pat Troutman, Second Vice President, Karen Maddry, Secretary, Shelia Lancaster, Vice President, and Lois Moody all help officiate the event.

An outstanding lunch was served. This was later followed by cake, which was enjoyed at the end of the meeting.

The Horry County Women’s Club will certainly play a vital role in both local and national get out the vote efforts during this highly political 2024 cycle.

The Horry County Republican Women’s Club

The Horry County Republican Women’s Club was formed by five women who saw the importance of a federated club in Horry County. They were Linda Knight, President, Pat Troutman, Second Vice President, Karen Maddry, Secretary, Shelia Lancaster, Vice President, and Lois Moody, Treasurer.

It was chartered in February, 2019, with 13 members. Women in Horry County are encouraged to become more involved in politics by the Horry County Republican Women’s Club: to run for public office, to foster loyalty to the Republican Party, and to promote its ideals and principles.

As part of its efforts, it will support the Republican National Committee’s objectives and platform, and support Republican Party candidates. In addition, the HCRW desire to inform and educate Republican women and discuss local issues such as veteran issues and issues vital to women and children. The federated club will also work in collaboration with other Republican women’s clubs in the local area.
