According to the Horry County Coroner’s Office, a 20 year old man was shot and killed Monday night while sitting in his vehicle on Glenforest Road in Carolina Forest.
Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard pronounced David Roldan-Dimas dead at the scene of the shooting, which occurred in the 1000 block of Glenforest Road, Horry County police said.
Willard said David Roldan-Dimas was shot while sitting in his car at a Planet Fitness. David was taking classes in the area and looking to graduate college soon.
A police report indicates that officers were called to the area at about 9:15 p.m. When they arrived, they found the victim unresponsive with a gunshot wound inside a black Chevrolet Camaro that struck a Nissan SUV parked on the street.
An officer got Roldan-Dimas out of the car and started CPR. While performing CPR, they took his shirt off and reportedly found another gunshot wound.
According to the report, officers removed the 20 year old man from the car and administered CPR, but the victim did not survive.
Apparently involved in the incident was a damaged Nissan SUV seen Tuesday morning in the Planet Fitness parking lot.
Horry County Fire Rescue responded and pronounced Roldan-Dimas dead at the scene.
