NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Members of 3rd Special Forces Group will conduct an airborne training operation May 17, 2019, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in North Myrtle Beach as part of an exercise to enhance the readiness of the unit.

Over 100 soldiers will conduct a deliberate water jump to encourage unit comradery and build upon airborne soldier tasks and drills. The training supports potential missions anywhere in the world, and has been conducted previously in the Myrtle Beach area.

Special operations soldiers regularly train outside of military installations in order to provide the most realistic environments for potential missions abroad. The training has been fully coordinated with all applicable local law enforcement agencies.
