In a related news article that MyrtleBeachSC news broke just hours ago, a deal with the FEDS is not possible for local Myrtle Beach attorneys Lane Jeffries and Henrietta Golding should a criminal trial ensue.

Lane Jeffries is S.C. Supreme Court Justice Kaye Gorenflo Hearn’s Son-In-Law.

Henrietta Golding is among the most connected lawyer in the City of Myrtle Beach. Golding currently represents the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Horry County Government defending its Hospitality lawsuit against the cities of Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach and Surfside Beach.

Golding previously worked for the City of Myrtle Beach in a long standing, ongoing relationship that lasted decades. Golding represents among the most powerful and connected business members of Myrtle Beach at large.

Many locals became anxious today with the news of the Federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) lawsuit.

Sources inform us the case will be limited only to issues associated with West Town Bank & Trust and those affected.

THE CURRENT LAWSUIT IS A CIVIL MATTER, HOWEVER

Should Mr. Jeffries and Mrs. Golding lose the civil case, a criminal case is likely to follow.

Sources say these defendants will not be allowed to introduce any other incentives to the FEDS so as to lighten the severity of their punishment, should a criminal case begin.

If found guilty in a likely coming, criminal trial Mrs. Golding could serve from 5 to 10 years.
