Rolling Stone called Angelyn “the best new sound to come out of Orange County since Gwen Stefani” and this summer she’s peeling back the curtain to show the realities of what it takes to make it in the music industry.

On Tuesday May 11, she and her band will transform Barefoot Resort Marina into a concert venue as they film the new reality show Yacht Stops. The free concert will take place from the deck of the boat at 7:30pm. The public is invited to hear Angelyn & the band at 2051 Bridge View Ct, North Myrtle Beach.

We spoke to Angelyn by phone today. She says the group ditched the tour bus idea entirely. This is the first ever concert tour by Yacht. She says the entire show is based on touring musicians.

I didn’t realize I was going to be seasick though. So that was one of the challenges I had to deal with,” said Angelyn. “We have been able to fish for food, go snorkeling and scuba diving.

ANGELYN TALKS ABOUT UPCOMING FREE BAREFOOT CONCERT MAY 11 @ 7:30 p.m.

Yacht Stops premiers on Amazon Prime May 24 and takes viewers behind the scenes with Angelyn and her band as they dock in almost 20 ports to transform marinas into concert venues. Imagine the new reality series as if Below Deck was recast with the finalists of The Voice.

ANGELYN SINGS SUPERHUMAN – A MUST HEAR

Follow the band as they sail from port to port performing for various size crowds from the deck of the same boat they are living on. Watch as the group navigates not only the high seas but the murky waters of the music business.

Between performances, Angelyn & the band serve as the crew and run the boat. They will have to fish to eat all while dealing with the emotions, personalities and realities of what it takes to become an entertainer. Special guests like Edwin McCain, Maia Sharp, and more will meet up with the band along the way to offer advice and coaching. Michael Bloom is the co-creator of the show with decades of experience in the industry.  The season will wrap with a Fourth of July performance airing on Amazon Prime live from Miami.
