The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce announced a new partnership in the city’s ongoing effort to vitalize the downtown area.

The Partnership Grand Strand Campaign Leadership Council and co-chairs Michael Benson, president of Coastal Carolina University and Clay Brittain, chairman of the board of Brittain Resorts & Hotels will launch the effort of the campaign kickoff.

Myrtle Beach Convention Center

Leadership claims this effort is a five-year transformative economic growth initiative to accelerate the economic prosperity and quality of life for all businesses and residents across Horry and Georgetown counties.

The Partnership Grand Strand says it will provide innovative new plans to diversify the economy and grow small business, attract, develop and retain talent, support revitalizing downtown and the oceanfront, and scale up our transportation infrastructure.

MBACC, through this effort, hopes to unite the Grand Strand around this new vision.

The event is free and parking is complimentary. Registration is required. Breakfast will be provided.
