The polls closed on the special election of Conway City Council race tonight.

A runoff will be required as no candidate received 51% of the vote tally.

Conway resident Kendall Brown leads Autry Benton by only 27 votes. Brown and Benton will face off in a runoff election to be held on June 27th.

Endorsements from April O’Leary and Tyler Thomas will be key for the two front runners.

O’Leary’s endorsement will go a long way in helping whomever she supports in getting votes from Flood Families who live in Conway.

O’Leary is the founder of Horry County rising. The group advocates for Flood Families who live in Horry County.
