Harley Davidson weekend numbers show hotels will not have 100% occupancy.

What was scheduled to be the strongest Spring weekend in over a year has been minimized by running gas station pump shortages in Horry County.

The Myrtle Beach Harley Davidson weekend traffic peaks this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Of the 10 area hotels we called, most said cancellations for the weekend were running around 30%.

This is a real disappointment for an industry just now overcoming the downturn caused by the pandemic in 2020.

The Colonial Pipeline is now up and running as of yesterday. However, many biker tourists simply do not want to risk the chance they could arrive to empty gas stations.
