Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce candidates Mike Lowder, Mayor Brenda Bethune, Jackie Hatley, and Gregg Smith won re-election last night.

This was a huge win for the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce (MBACC).

The Myrtle Beach Chamber needed this big push after losing the recent I-73 vote in Horry County Council.

The City of North Myrtle Beach rejected the MBACC preferred candidate Norfleet Jones, electing Bubba Collins instead.

Election day was certainly a tale of two cities.

Each of the City of Myrtle Beach incumbents will serve a term of 4 more years.

Mayor Bethune won despite her comments on Transgender Youth.

These comments were entirely ignored by the Myrtle Beach local press, with the exception of our news organization.
