The Sea Mist Resort, an oceanfront hotel property in downtown Myrtle Beach is now on the market for $55 million. A total of 539 units exist at the hotel which offers a combination of efficiencies, one bedroom, two bedroom, three bedroom and four bedroom villas. Over 16 acres of ocean front, ocean view, 2nd & 3rd row properties are located at the resort. The property has been on the market for sale for 8 months.
Tourists, Kelly Bruce and her friends (staying at the hotel), documented a viral Tiktok video of their stay at the resort which was seen by more than 6.2 million viewers in the Summer of 2022.
“We didn’t want anyone to see what we saw. No matter what you pay or your accommodations, your health- you should not be exposed to those types of conditions,” Kelly said.
Kelly was offered compensation for her stay which she declined. “They would give me back my money. “They would give me a three-night stay in their penthouse- in their three-bedroom penthouse as if I would want to come back – no,” Bruce said.
The sale portfolio for the Sea Mist offers seven ocean front hotels, three hotels on Ocean Blvd, fourteen multifamily properties, single family homes and vacant lots.
The Sea Mist Conference center offers multiple halls, a commercial kitchen and office suites.
The resort features a four level parking garage, reception building, multiple indoor & outdoor pools, hot tubs , fitness center, waterpark, arcade, over 10,000 sf of commercial retail/ restaurant space and more.
Multiple beach access points exist on the property.
An additional storage compound with a commercial laundry facility is also included.
