The 43-year-old, Dalana Janeca Davenport, is charged with domestic violence second degree and arson third degree.

On Monday, Myrtle Beach Police responded to a disturbance call on 62nd Avenue North.

During the incident, the victim, who is married to Davenport, said Davenport was drinking heavily when she returned home and started screaming about “nothing in particular.” The wife told Davenport she was leaving and calling 911.

According to the report, Davenport grabbed the victim’s phone to prevent her from calling the police. Davenport then slammed her on the floor, stormed out, and did not return.

It was reported that the victim smelled something burning during the altercation but didn’t know what it was. After going upstairs, she found her clothes and a table burning in the guest bedroom, according to the report. According to the victim, Davenport set fire to the clothes in the hamper, which was positioned on top of a wooden table.
