Barricaded Myrtle Beach resident takes shots at MBPD and SWAT

Myrtle Beach police are on the scene of a person barricaded inside a home on the corner of Bay Street and Little River Road.

Sources state the suspect’s name is Wayne Hodges. Hodges recently moved into the area known as Old Pine Lakes.

BARRICADED SITUATION CAUGHT ON FILM

Officers were called to the area of Longleaf Circle which is between 38th Avenue North and 44th Avenue North.

Police say Hodges fired shots at Myrtle Beach Police Department officers. It’s not clear at this point if anyone has been hurt.

Neighboring homes have been evacuated and officers are securing the area. A drone is currently being used by SWAT to evaluate the area.

Horry County police said they are also assisting with the barricaded home incident as well.
