 Highway 472 bridge at Horsepen Creek closes until Nov. for replacement

Columbia, S.C. (April 24, 2024) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation will close the Highway 472 bridge over Horsepen Creek in Horry County for replacement beginning on May 1. The closure is expected to last until November of 2024.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured using Highway 471, Highway 905 and Highway 66. A map of the detour can be found below. Please note that Highway 472 will be open to local traffic.
