Cherry Grove Beach Services Doubles Down

Local Business Owners Strive to Support the North Myrtle Beach Community by  Expanding Their Business

Grand Opening May 23, 12:00 pm – 302 Main St. North Myrtle Beach

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 15, 2023: NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC By expanding services with a new Main St. location,  Cherry Grove Beach Services (CGBS) hopes to better serve families, support other local  businesses, and increase economic growth in North Myrtle Beach. A Grand Opening of the new  location is scheduled for Tuesday, May 23 at noon. Owners, Derek and Claire Calhoun, are  excited about their new business model because it will provide vacationing families everything  they need to make their trip extra special while simultaneously supporting other local small  businesses.

Cherry Grove Beach Gear (CGBG) opened February of 2020 as a beach equipment rental  company operating out of a storage unit. Facing COVID during their first season taught the  team resilience and the ability to pivot business practices as needed. CGBG was built on the  principals of outstanding customer service, personalization, and supporting the local  community. Starting a business during the pandemic solidified the importance of those principals.

Thanks to community support and loyal customers, the business grew tremendously over the  past three years. New products and services were introduced during the 2022 season, and  CGBG quickly outgrew its storage unit. In February of 2023, the Calhouns launched Cherry  Grove Beach Services to better serve customers. The Beach Gear portion of Cherry Grove is still  available, but CGBS will offer so much more.

A few of the new services offered will include:

• Beach Lunches and Premade Dinners

• Golf Cart, Bike, and Jet Ski Rentals

• Kayak Tours, Surf Lessons, Fishing Trips, and Other Adventures

• Wellness Packages, a Retail Shop, and Photography

CGBS has partnered with local small businesses to provide vacation packages that include  something for everyone. Customers can choose individual items, premade packages, or custom  trips. An entire North Myrtle Beach vacation can be planned through one simple phone call. A  family visiting this little beach town will have the same concierge services of a fancy resort.

Derek and Claire Calhoun would like to personally invite you to attend the Grand Opening of  Cherry Grove Beach Services on Tuesday, May 23 at noon. The new store front will have a  ribbon cutting at noon followed by food, drinks, giveaways, and more.
