The Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers, CCU, face James Madison University this Saturday, November 25th at home at Brooks Stadium in Conway. A Sunbelt Eastern title is on the line. The rights to play for the conference championship are on the line for Coastal Carolina as well.

For CCU, it’s simple. Win and play for the Sunbelt Championship. Lose and watch App State play for the title.

By NCAA rules, the 10 – 1 JMU Dukes are unable to play for the conference title as they are transitioning from FCS play to FBS play.

JMU Head Football Coach, Curt Cignetti, has the entire CCU program fired up because of statements he made after JMU beat CCU last year.

Said Cignetti, after last year’s game, “Today didn’t surprise me. I was disappointed we didn’t score 65.”

App State ruined a perfect James Madison season last week beating the team on their own home field in Virginia.

Meanwhile, CCU was manhandled by an Army rushing attack yet still managed to lose by only one touchdown.

The Gamecocks play Clemson on Saturday, but as Brian Quigley posts on X, the meaningful football game in the state is happening in Conway, S.C.

Here is hoping for a great game, and a Coastal Carolina win. Go Chants.
