Police records show that former Surfside Beach Town Councilman Mark Johnson was arrested on Sauturday, January 18th at 2:55 p.m.
Police arrested Johnson for domestic violence 3rd degree.
Johnson served as Town Councilman for 12 years. He was often the one no vote on many controversial issues.
As of January 20, 2020, Johnson’s bond had not been posted and he remained in jail.
Mark Johnson’s term ended in December 2019.
