This morning, Conway resident Jeanette Spurlock announced her intentions to run against Orton Bellamy for Horry County Council.

Horry County Council District 7 represents the residents in Conway, S.C. The primary will be held on June 14th.

Ms. Spurlock told our news outlet, “You can’t fix Washington if you don’t fix Main St. USA.”

Spurlock is a resident focused candidate who will work to empower Conway residents in her district, above and beyond county-wide special interest groups.

Her press release to all media reads as follows:

________________________________________

For the last 17 months I have been talking with people from all walks of life and the one thing that I have found that rings true no matter where I am or with whom I am speaking with, there is a need for trusted Representation. The People, myself included, want someone worthy of our trust and we must act now if we have any hope for a better tomorrow.

I made a list of all the issues I was hearing from the public and it has become abundantly clear where my journey into politics was leading me and in my heart, I know for sure…

“You can’t fix Washington if you don’t fix Main St. USA”

What does my Main Street USA look like? Mine is Represented by someone that has not been out and about in my community finding out what my needs are nor my neighbor’s. He has not given me any real answers as to his stances or intentions regarding the improvements needed right here where we live. What has he done you might ask? He brought in a Democrat to help Horry County with redistricting and he also changed the D at the end of his name to an R in order to win the District 7 seat for Horry County Council. A clear picture of what people will do to win a seat without the intention of truly Representing their constituents. In this case, I am convinced the R represents

“Republican In Name Only”.

If you want true Conservative / Republican representation, I ask for your vote on June 14, 2022.

The Future of Horry County Depends on it!

My name is Jeanette Spurlock,

Candidate for Horry County Council, District 7
