Dolly Parton, the founder of Pirates Voyage, in Myrtle Beach has told the national press she is done with touring.
The 76 year old’s last tour was in in 2016, and with 60 shows, it was her largest North American tour ever.
Says Parton, “I don’t want to continue to tour because they take a lot of time and energy to plan, and I don’t want to be away from my husband for weeks at a time.“
The beloved Country Music star is known for her classic hits that include: I will always love you, Coat of Many Colors, Hard Candy Christmas, Jolene, 9 to 5, as well as, Islands In The Stream (a duet she did with the late Kenny Rogers.)

Parton is a true entrepreneur. She also owns Dollywood, a theme park located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, near the gateway to The Great Smoky Mountains.
