Tens of thousands of dollars in mailers supporting Luke Rankin went out on Friday. Those flyers included political smut concerning CDV from two articles Rankin planted in local media.
When a local battered wife reached out to Rankin for help earlier this year, Rankin turned a deaf ear. Yet he picked the judge she stood before.
Last night, the head of the Republican Women’s Club shared her post online:
Domestic abuse can NEVER be tolerated? Really, so why when I personally called you to tell you that Magistrate Butler let my husband who violently assaulted me after 16 years together, you did not take any action?
I went to your appointed Magistrate and you told me he was a “favor hire” and “wouldn’t make any apologies for his decision” after I had photos, videos and police reports that he violated his bond by stalking, harassing, and trespassing into my home putting my child and my safety at risk and not surrendering his guns.
You are a hypocrite. I called you and begged you to take action to get this unstable and unsafe man off the street to protect my son and me and you did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. NOTHING!!!!
So, don’t act like you care about domestic violence because it’s a campaign strategy. Because when your own constituent called you to hold someone accountable you didn’t.
After Bellamay shared this post online, the Rankin trolls came out in force attacking this victim. We refuse to share those comments here as we wish no further shame on this victim.
Rankin is more than willing to champion a cause when it helps him politically. Rankin’s entire 27 year campaign is based on this singular strategy.
He has no record to run on and has no real concern for battered wives.
