Here are some tips to help you thrive in old age and enjoy the freedom of being able to make your own choices.

1) Exercise regularly

Exercising regularly is incredibly important for people of any age, but especially those over sixty. Regular physical activity can reduce the risk of chronic diseases, improve mental health and cognition, enhance functionality, and promote a better quality of life. A reliance on physical activities decreases with age, which makes regular exercise even more important for seniors.

A number of studies have shown that exercising regularly can reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke in people over sixty, as well as reduce the chance of developing type 2 diabetes and depression.
