North Myrtle Beach Parking rates will increase beginning this Thursday.

The hourly rate for public parking in the City of North Myrtle Beach has increased from $3 to $4. This rate change will go into effect on Thursday, March 7, at 9 AM.

Between Tuesday and Wednesday, City Staff will be updating signage, updating the website, and Pivot Parking will be updating the payment processor to reflect this change.

As a reminder, if you have a Handicap Accessible Placard, a North Myrtle Beach Resident Parking Permit, North Myrtle Beach Non-Property Owner Parking Permit, or Horry County Resident Parking Permit, paying for hourly parking is not necessary.

Paid parking is in effect every day from 9 AM to 5 PM from March 1 through October 31.

Parking revenue helps to cover some of the costs allowing the City to purchase land and make improvements, such as paving, striping, adding landscaping, and building public restrooms. Then, the City is able to continuously maintain these public parking lots and restrooms by sand sweeping, cleaning restrooms, collecting trash, and preserving landscaping.

The City of North Myrtle Beach views public parking as an investment. The City is investing parking revenue back into the community to improve service to residents and visitors for years to come.

Our goal is to provide public parking opportunities so that those who want to park and enjoy the beach can do so.
