Myrtle Beach police are investigating a crash that just happened when a motorist hit a pedestrian along Ocean Boulevard.

The incident happened between 27th and 29th Avenues North.

Officers closed Ocean Boulevard from 27th Avenue North and 29th Avenue North due to the crash.

Police said the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with critical and life-threatening injuries. The pedestrian has since died as a result of those injuries.

Police report the victim was hit by a squatted truck.
