Edward Williams Jr. is, has been arrested for opening fire on Ocean Boulevard on a busy Saturday night. The incident was filmed in a Myrtle Beach shooting video that went viral. Williams has been taken into custody.
The Myrtle Beach police, working with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, arrested 37-year-old Edward Williams Jr. in connection with the shooting. Williams resides in Charlotte, NC
This viral video shows Williams as he walks up to the truck and appear to be talking to the driver, shooting into the truck before the vehicle drives off down Ocean Boulevard.
SHOOTING CAUGHT ON VIDEO
Police are seeking traffic-related charges for the truck driver in the incident.
“This arrest is a direct result of the willingness of our visitors and citizens to cooperate with our police department by sending in video and other information to our investigators,” Police Chief Amy Prock said in a statement.
