Surfside Beach Town Council voted unanimously last night to table paid parking.

The vote ensures that parking will remain as is until the new administration is voted in on November 5th.

Many areas in Surfside Beach feature free parking.

Business owner, Rod Shilling, of Surfside Beach told council, “We don’t want to be compared to Myrtle Beach.  Myrtle Beach has been declining in popularity. We are gaining in popularity because of the amenities we have.”
