Summer reservations for the Town of Surfside Beach will be up in 2021.
In 2020, rentals across the Grand Strand were down.
The City of Myrtle Beach was hit especially hard with summer rentals down as much as 42%.
The Town of Surfside Beach, however, faired much better. The town features large and spacious beach homes. These types of vacation rentals were the very panacea travelers preferred.
Surfside Beach rentals are up again in 2021 for the Summer of 2021. Summer reservations are well outpacing bookings of the same time period last year. Projections show the town could be up more than 20 percent.
In a Bankrate.com poll conducted mid-December, 51 percent of Americans responded that vaccine developments make them more optimistic about being able to safely travel again in the next six months.
BUT THE VACATION BRAND MATTERS MOST
2021 consumer confidence polls show that, more than ever, the vacation brand will matter most in Summer 2021.
An exceptional brand is where the town of Surfside Beach excels. The town is one of the best vacation destinations on the South Carolina coast. Known as the “family beach”, a wide array of Oceanfront Beach Homes run along the Surfside Beach coastline.
Says Amanda Hopkins, Director of Rental Operations/Realtor for Surfside Realty, “One thing that we can all agree on is protecting Surfside Beach’s reputation as the “Family Beach”. Our company’s increase in bookings this year is even more evidence that this reputation is intact and maybe even getting stronger. Here at Surfside Realty, we are very excited about the upcoming season and look forward to welcoming those families back to the beach as we have been doing since 1962.”
Earlier this year, Surfside Beach announced the beginning of construction on a new, state of the art pier scheduled to be completed 2023.
An outstanding beachfront and this new concrete and steel structure will set Surfside Beach apart from all other destinations on the South Carolina coast for decades to come.
