A 34 year old firefighter in Brooklyn, Siller responded to the call on September 11 by strapping 60 pounds of equipment and gear on his back and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, the longest tunnel in New York City (approximately 1.7 miles long), to rescue people in the World Trade Center.
