Five individuals sustained injuries following an area crash collision in Horry County on Sunday morning.

Multiple other crashes were reported by Horry County Fire and Rescue.

On Sunday, emergency response teams were sent to the Pee Dee Highway and Highway 378 intersection in Conway at approximately 4:29 p.m. for a collision involving at least one overturned vehicle.

Firefighters from Horry County Fire Rescue were dispatched to the location where Highway 378 intersects with Pitts Landing Road shortly before 7 a.m. in response to a collision involving four vehicles.

The agency reported that rescue operations were required to free individuals, including a low-angle rope rescue. There was also an incident where someone was ejected. In all, five individuals were transported to a hospital, with one of them being airlifted.

The crash is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, with the Conway Fire Department also present at the scene.

Horry County Fire and Rescue issued the following:

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Please avoid the area of Highway 90 and Stephens Road in Longs, as all lanes of Highway 90 traffic are currently blocked due to a single-vehicle crash involving a tree.

Extrication operations were needed.

One person is being transported to the hospital with injuries.

Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched to this call at 7:44 p.m.

South Carolina Department of Public Safety is investigating. Horry County Police Department is assisting.

Please avoid the area to avoid possible delays, and for the safety of those on scene.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Please avoid the area of Highway 9 and Highway 57 in Little River, as lanes of traffic are blocked due to a three-vehicle crash.

No one is being transported to the hospital with injuries at this time.
