Denver Stacy is the father of Jenna Dukes. Dukes is running for District 1 County Council. District 1 is located in Little River – North Myrtle Beach.
On Sunday, June 5, 2022, Derrick Gore of the (Gore Family) from Brooksville to greater Allsbrook Communities (in Little River to just west of NMB) expressed his concerns about a post Denver Stacy placed on Facebook July 5, 2015 in support of Dylann Roof. Roof was the shooter who killed 9 people at a Bible Study in Charleston, S.C. on June 17, 2015.
As the controversy around the shooting made national attention, Denver Stacy posted the below on Facebook.
The Brooksville community runs along Highway 57 in Little River, S.C. and is located in District 1. Allsbrook is a small, rural, historic black community along Highway 701 just south of Longs, S.C. The name Gore is a well known and highly regarded name the greater community.
From Wikipedia: On June 17, 2015, a white supremacist terrorist mass shooting occurred in Charleston, South Carolina, in which nine African Americans were killed during a Bible study at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. Among those people who were killed was the senior pastor, state senator Clementa C. Pinckney. This church is one of the oldest black churches in the United States, and it has long been a center for organizing events which are related to civil rights.
The morning after the attack, police arrested Dylann Roof in Shelby, North Carolina; the 21-year-old white supremacist had attended the Bible study before he committed the shooting. He was found to have targeted members of this church because of its history and status. Roof was found competent to stand trial in federal court.

Stacy is a resident of West Virginia and also a small plane pilot.
We reached out to Mr. Stacy for comments about his post. As of this publication, he has not responded.
