The roar of Harley Davidson motorcycles were clearly heard today from Murrells Inlet to Surfside Beach as Bike Week arrivals began to hit peak this Thursday.

Bike Week officially began last Sunday, however, peak traffic started Thursday noon. Tens of thousands of bikers will be visiting this week.

The bikers are back this year in larger numbers than 2018 and 2019.

These higher than average 2020 numbers are certainly a shot in the arm to North Myrtle Beach, Surfside Beach and Murrells Inlet businesses.

It appears the bikers are choosing to largely avoid the crime ridden City of Myrtle Beach. Bikers can be found in large numbers along the Grand Strand in Murrells Inlet, Surfside Beach and the City of North Myrtle Beach.

The weather today was a balmy 76 degrees. Skies were clear and the weekend ahead is sure to be a delight for all who chose to visit the area.
