Horry County Council incumbent, Dennis DiSabato, sent a mailer out to all voters in Carolina Forest who live in his district. DiSabato claimed his opponent, Karon Mitchell, did not live in the district.
Nick Katsanos of SC PRIMARY 2020 immediately challenged this claim. Candidate Mitchell showed her driver’s license proving she has lived in the district since 2013.

I have been a Resident almost 14 years of Country Council District #3
I received this flyer yesterday in my mailbox and could not believe that Sandy Martin of the Election Commission could have Certified a Candidate who is not in our District #3 as Councilman Dennis DiSabato states in this Flyer !
I spoke with Sandy Martin at length and was assured that the opponent Was vetted correctly and does live in district 3
Also the HC GOP Certified all the Candidates on the election ballot!
I have reached out to my Councilman Dennis DiSabato and I believe as I am writing this post he has blocked me as his Constituent which is a “Violation” of my rights.
We deserve much better than this kind of behavior and lawlessness from our employees!
Mitchell responded by video telling DiSabato where she really lives!!!
