The Famous Toastery is a restaurant chain that offers breakfast and brunch. The company operates in the state of South Carolina with one location in Carolina Forest.

As of 2017, there are six Famous Toasteries across North Carolina and South Carolina.

Famous Toastery was founded by Robert Maynard in 2007. The first location was opened in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Robert Maynard initially started as a small breakfast sandwich shop in the city of Charlotte.

Maynard has been featured on NBC’s Today Show as well as Entrepreneur Magazine’s “30 Under 30” list for his dedication to his business venture.

Said local Famous Toastery franchisee Tim McGinnis, “Michelle and I are so blessed to have been able to follow our dream of small business ownership, and bring a Toastery to the Grand Strand. Rob’s passion for our brand is inspiring, and we love serving what we think is the best brunch anywhere right here in Carolina Forest!

Rumors have been swirling for more than a year that a new location might be coming to North Myrtle Beach.

We asked Maynard about those rumors.

Maynard said they were looking to open a second location somewhere along the Grand Strand. He wasn’t sure if the new restaurant would open in North Myrtle Beach or some other area location.

Listeners can hear our entire conversation with Robert Maynard in the audio above.
