District 106 S.C. House Representative Russell Fry got very limited time at the Trump rally held tonight in Florence, S.C. He spoke for 10 minutes early on. However, he spoke for less than 20 seconds at the closing of the rally. He did not get the victory hands in the air photo moment with the President most expected.

While Fry spoke for 10 minutes earlier in the rally, most locals believed the rally would be largely centered around his endorsement. His time was limited to the same as other speakers who participated.

Approximately 3,500 attended, many from out of state.

The Trump rally was attended by Russell Fry, who is running for the US Congressional 7th seat. Since first endorsing Fry, former President Donald Trump has become increasing Luke-warm in his support for the candidate.

Russell Fry is not well received in Horry County, where he is best known. Residents commonly refer to him as Rice 2.0.

A large crowd from across America filled hotel rooms in Florence to hear Mr. Trump speak. None of those out of town attenders live in the 7th district. Therefore, none of those attenders can vote for Russell Fry in his upcoming June 14th primary against front runners Tom Rice and Ken Richardson.

As we reported yesterday, in promoting the event former President Trump never mentioned Fry’s name once.

The March day saw large gusts of wind and mixed weather. These factors may have limited attendance at the rally.

A large section of District 7 voters showed up to protest the endorsement of Russell Fry.
