The Horry County Council gun control ordinance which failed in Horry County’s Public Safety committee last week was on the agenda for consideration at tonight’s council meeting.
The gun control ordinance was immediately tabled by its sponsor, Gary Loftus.
Tabling the ordinance means it will take a minimum of 7 votes to bring the ordinance back up for consideration.
The item was dead on arrival after gun owners, sportsmen and outdoorsmen in the county spoke up once alerted by S.C.’s Freedom Action Network.
County residents emailed, called, and texted councilmen.
As MyrtleBeachSC News reported last week, the bill was dead tonight on arrival at tonight’s meeting.
