SLED Investigation Clears MyrtleBeachSC News of charges made by Mark McBride

Myrtle Beach SC

MyrtleBeachSC News received a phone call today at 1:56 p.m. from the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) stating that the bribery charges made by Mark McBride were unfounded.

On March 5, 2022, McBride posted on Facebook Live that the publisher of MyrtleBeachSC News bribed him to “drop out of the U.S. Congressional race.”

An agent with SLED informed our news team today that those claims were unfounded.

Our publisher, David Hucks, declined to comment on this development at this time.

SLED informed our news team that a press release would be put forward later today.

McBride also alluded that U.S. Congressional Candidate Ken Richardson was somehow involved. Those claims were patently false.
