The Surfside Beach elections are an important event for the city. The mayor and council members have to represent the people of Surfside Beach. It is important that the people of Surfside Beach know about the candidates running for office, their qualifications and what they stand for.
The candidates in this election are:
Steve Smith – A candidate who has a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from USC and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Clemson University.
Mark Brown – A candidate who has been a business owner, public servant, and served on several boards including the Board of Directors of Trident Technical College Foundation, Board of Directors at Trident Technical College, Board Member at Greenville Symphony Orchestra, Board Member at Arts Council of Greenville County.
