On May 10, 2022, American Conservative Voices hosted the first Horry County Council Chair debate. The Republican primary will be held June 14th.
Candidates vying for the seat are: Resident Focused Incumbent Johnny Gardner, Katrina Morrison, Johnny Vaught, and former chairman Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce favored candidate Mark Lazarus.
Mark Lazarus chose not to attend the debate. The debate was moderated by retired local Tom Herron.
