Siri is answering your questions, Amazon is using your browsing history to recommend products, and lately, GPT-3 writing is transforming the content industry, with GPT-5 expected to further revolutionize how we create and interact with digital content.

If you’re a part of the content creation or marketing world, it would be impossible to miss the buzz surrounding GPT 3 writing. Everyone in the industry is talking about it and taking sides for or against the usage of this tool for content creation. 

What Is GPT 3?

For quite some time now, the content and marketing community has been using tools to help their writing. The other side makes points that are extremely concerning. While NYT says that GPT-3 can create prose that matches the fluency and originality of a human, this side will argue that it will never be the case. For starters, humans know what to look for and include, while AI will use loads of sources and can often insert inaccurate information into the content. Not to mention, the work will pass plagiarism checkers, but it will be far from original. With more people generating content with GPT-3 and similar tools, the results are too repetitive. 

Google is updating its algorithms every day and based on their rules and recommendations, computer-generated content is not allowed and may be penalized. Chances are, those who use GPT 3 and have replaced entire teams to rely solely on this technology will regret it when Google updates its algorithms to detect patterns in the content and find the ones generated by AI. 

This is all very interesting, but what does GTP 3 SEO has to do with it?

The main question of users of this tool is whether it can boost the ranking on Google. Or, will it do the exact opposite?

At the moment, a lot of the content generated with the use of AI isn’t recognized as such by Google, so those sites may or may not enjoy higher SEO ranking for their content. Still, judged by how hard Google works on detecting generated content, we can expect grand penalties if they come up with a way to detect it. 

Using a tool that will create unique content for you can cut down on your expenses and save you tons of time, as well as allow you to publish more content than ever. However, soon enough, Google will find a way to detect those who use this approach, and we all know what happens when a site gets penalized. Even if you achieve some success in terms of SEO at this point, it can all change in an instance. Then, all your effort will turn to ash.
